About Stapf
3 years warranty

We place the highest value on creating garments that accompany you for a lifetime and that you still enjoy wearing after many years. This applies not only to the fabric but also to seams, buttons, zippers, and other accessories. Pilling and shrunken garments are not covered by the warranty.
Our Manufactory
Since 1958, Stapf has been producing in Michael-Pacher-Straße in Wörgl – on the same machines, with the same craftsmanship. The yarn is knitted on circular and flat knitting machines and then fulled in large fulling drums: with water, heat, and friction. No dyes. No softeners. Just the material itself. If you are nearby and interested in the production, feel free to visit us.
Naturally sustainable
Wool is naturally sustainable. We take it even further: Our yarns come from family-run businesses in Austria and Tuscany, our organic cotton is GOTS-certified from Portugal. We produce without dyes and softeners – and are working to convert most of our wool to organic standards.

The Team
In 2017, Stapf was on the brink of closure. What could have been the end became our beginning. Kathrin and Sebastian Proft, enthusiastic about the unique quality of the felt fabric, took over the manufactory in Wörgl – to preserve it and develop it further. We invested heavily in the product, made superfine wool and organic cotton the core of production, and revised the cuts.
