We attach great importance to creating garments that will accompany you for a lifetime and that you will still be happy to wear even after many years. In addition to the fabric, this also refers to seams, buttons, zippers and other accessories. Pilling and shrunken garments are not covered by the warranty.

Our manufactory

Our Stapf jackets have been produced by Richard Stapf on Michael-Pacher-Strasse in Wörgl since the company was founded in 1958. The yarn is knitted on our circular and flat knitting machines and then washed or fulled in the large fulling drums using only water and energy. If you are in the area and are interested in the production, please visit us.

Naturally sustainable

Wool is inherently sustainable. We source our yarns from family businesses in Austria and Tuscany. The cotton we use comes from Portugal, is organic and GOTS certified. The production takes place without the addition of dyes or softeners and we are working with our producers to convert the majority of the wool to organic by 2025. Learn more

The team

Five years ago, Stapf had to file for bankruptcy and was on the verge of going out. We, Kathrin & Sebastian, were enthusiastic about the product from the first moment and made it our task to maintain the factory in Wörgl. We have invested a lot in the product, made superfine wool and organic cotton the core of production and revised the cuts.

Friends & Influencers

  • Our goal at Stapf is to create products that are durable, sustainable and unique - with this claim, we inspire more and more people every year. We almost completely dispense with classic marketing and instead rely on word of mouth. Some influencers have become friends in recent years and support us in our mission:
  • Are you also enthusiastic about sustainable and handcrafted fashion and do you have a reach on social media? Then we should talk.
