Naturally. Thoughtfully. Always.
Caring Made Simple
Our natural materials largely clean themselves. Often, it is enough to hang the clothing in fresh, slightly damp air and gently shake it out to remove odors. You should avoid frequent washing, as this causes the natural lanolin to be lost – a wool grease that protects the fibers, keeps them supple, and makes them water- and dirt-repellent.
Tip: Give your Stapf clothing a regular “airing treatment” in fresh, moist air!
Only wash when necessary – please note the following:
- Hand wash:
Gently wash in lukewarm water (approx. 20 °C) with wool detergent. Do not rub or wring. - Machine wash:
Only suitable for items explicitly labeled as "machine washable." Wash in the wool cycle at 20 °C with wool detergent.
After washing, gently squeeze only, do not spin or machine dry.
After washing, gently reshape and lay flat on a towel to dry. Please avoid sunlight.
If needed, iron on a low setting with steam – preferably with a cloth in between.
With soft natural wool, small pills can form due to friction. These can be easily removed with a lint brush or a wool shaver – the material remains intact.
- Light dirt: Dab with a damp cloth.
- Stubborn stains: Gently brush or spot clean.
